From Eschau to Rosheim, which offers one of the most beautiful romanesque churches of Alsace, the circuit crosses wide areas of cultivated sauerkraut cabbages. These are the lands where most of the national production is harvested. After riding along cabbages, the cyclist rides along vines. Obernai is worth a visit, the Market place, in particu-lar, has kept a beautiful Renaissance-style architecture. From Barr to Eichhoffen, the itinerary circuit offers authentic vine-producing villages where you will feel very welcome. Then you come across the culture of tobacco, which is quite developed in Benfeld, important tobacco centre. Finally, Erstein, the sugar capital of Alsace, marks the way back to Eschau.
