Horse riding in Alsace

Alsace is generous by nature!
A land of infinitely varied landscapes, Alsace totals some 312 000 ha of sumptuous forests with twenty nature reserves and two Regional Nature Parks. Its vines stretching to the horizon, long peaks routes and twisting water courses provide some exceptional settings for original journeys. The Alsatian particularity is to give free rein to your imagination and desires. You can therefore cross Alsace by any trails and routes more than 2 metres wide; you won't find any particular markings! Overall, some 1 000 kilometres of routes are provided for you to explore a rich environmental heritage and some remarkable cultural treasures.
More than a hundred hostels and equestrian tourist centres welcome riders and their mounts with pleasure for rides over half a day or a whole day, while respecting everyone's pace and level of experience! Some of them offer trekking on horseback for up to 5 days, riding lessons, pony rides, trips in pony carriages, etc.
You will find their addresses in the annual brochure "Practical guide-book", as well as route maps which you can download.
