The most seasoned mountain-bikers can take the TMV® across the Vosges Mountains, which winds through Northern Alsace from North to South over a distance of 250 km. This itinerary is ideal for mountain bikers fond of nature and culture.
Moreover, around 50 circuits covering some 900 km of trails especially signposted for mountain bikes and spread out over 13 sites in the plain and the mountains are perfect for both beginners and experienced mountain bikers.
This long distance or circular trails take you up to the most remarkable summits, wind along the ridges, down into deep valleys and large forests, through picturesque villages and historical towns.

How to get to the trails: by train or car

Many railways lines in Northern Alsace have been preserved. This means you can quickly get to the mountain-biking network, speed up your journey or come back to your starting point whenever you want using the eight lines which run from Strasbourg in all directions. And finally, for those who like to drive to their starting point, there are excellent car park arrangements at the points where the long distance and circular trails start out.
