For professionals in the field of tourism, it is a question of, for example, fitting installations which use renewable energy sources such as log-burning stoves and solar panels, low-energy light bulbs, air showerheads and taps, using ecological cleaning products, using organic produce and/or seasonal vegetables stemming from local production, fostering ecological means of transport and printing tourist brochures on recycled paper.
Many tourist professionals in Alsace, including accommodation providers, have taken this approach on board and offer comfort, charm, hospitality - and respect for the environment as an added asset!
